Very friendly and helpful staff, would definitley recommend this hotel!!

Service, parking charges, cost of room far too expensive for the quality and service, receptionist quoting generic policy and not being able to explain properly, not being able to enter the carpark and having to go in to reception in order to sort this out. We would never stay in a mercure hotel again and should anybody ask for our views we will be honest and state this.

    Superb

Felt luxurious, especially the privilege room upgrade

    Fabulous

The lighting was very pour in our rooms so bad we said we would bring a torch next time but everything else very good and extremely comfortable

    Good

Convenient enough location, clean, large rooms. Friendly staff. Large choice at breakfast.

Not enough parking, a little underwhelmed by the Deluxe Suite. Whilst staff are friendly it would be better if they had a better knowledge of local amenities.

    Superb

hotel was modern and spacious. rooms were large with nice views. Breakfast was excellent and staff couldnt have been more helpful. The gym was good and location of hotel spot on.

The hotel room smelt and the toilet water ran constantly. My parents had same problem in their room. no windows opened either so there was a lack of air. The pool was small and incredibly hot which was a waste of time and although the spa was amazing you had to walk across a car park to get to it and navigating the hotel was sometimes like an expedition! The niggest niggle for me about the Mercure was the car park. You could get in and then needed a card to get out but when coming back to the hotel you were not guaranteed a space. A complete fiasco!

It was first time to Mercure and upon arrival I was most delighted with the reception area. It looked new and exciting. The staff on desk duty were very helpful. The room was a standard but! felt very spacious , bath room well lit and cosy. I did bring my own pillow! , but the bed also very comfortable, very happy with my nights sleep. I shall be returning to Bristol for a visit to my daughters and if the deal is good I shall stay once againg at the Mercure. Tim Devane

    Superb

The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. We were offered a room upgrade. The room overlooked the river and the city. Large room, very confortable bed and an enormous bathroom with double shower and a large roll top bath. Live entertainment in the bar was a bonus. Food great. Will be staying again.

Nothing. Staff all helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.

    Good

I received a call the day before my stay telling me they had over sold the number of rooms and would I mind changing hotels to one down the road. Which was not possible due to the location of the office I was going to the next day. First room smelt of smoke - probably due to the fact it was once a smoking room. Second room was fine, however could not get the room warm even though the heating was on 30, ended up using two duvets to keep warm.

    Rooms were big and clean

Car parking was described as available on site with no need to book but when I turned up with a 3 year old in the pouring rain half an hour before bedtime, I was told there were no spaces and I had to go to a pay and display nearby. Not happy to be in an insecure car park a walk away from the hotel. The pool was smaller than it appeared though adequate but not monitored so children were unsupervised and jumping/diving making it difficult to use with a 3 year old. At 10pm half a dozen children were running up and down the corridors screaming which woke me and my son and at 8am on Sunday morning the church opposite was in full bell ringing mode. Not a problem for me with a 3 year old but if you wanted a lie in there is no chance. Not a bad stay but not great either. For the money, I expected a bit better overall.

    Good

    Staff very friendly

Described as a spa hotel----- very poor no sauna, steam room or jacuzzi, small swimming pool only. Very small gym with only 4 pieces of equipment. Not what I would class as a spa hotel!!!!!

Good location, friendly staff, nice facilities, all you could want in a hotel!

The price of the hotel bar, very expensive! £4.65 for a pint of lager!
